Typically, it's not your physical body that gets sent to the afterlife, it's meant to be your soul. So if one were to die in the afterlife, it would likely have to be the actual obliteration of the soul. There is no real, physical form that would expire.

No... and I looked, too. You don't think that'll suddenly reappear, do you? I've heard enough talk of things getting damaged and then it resetting as if nothing happened over this week that it's hard to say.

According to Itto and the other Hunter, at least, he was locked in with them. He seemed completely normal as far as they were aware.

I think there are a lot of should have's and could have's. I should've figured out that puzzle faster.
