It's a pretty big jump from truth or dare to death, yes.

If someone had just turned up dead, that would be one thing. But everything else about last night was weird as well.

Yes. Unable to send any messages after I was locked in, and then I fell asleep suddenly.

No, he was with the other Hunter and Itto. Apparently Itto was encouraging them to duel for dominance over the name and is telling everyone.
