Well, I guess for us we weren't "kidnapped" or anything, we just died. That made it easier to accept.

Basically, yes. I assume the people in Heaven were likely a similar situation as well since the two places are linked.

In Hell, we were just offered a chance to return to life if we we won a drinking competition. People in the group managed to get the rules of the competition changed so that instead of just the individuals who won would get revived, it would apply to the entire group.
