All of it, mostly. I suddenly felt like I needed to go on a ferry, and I assume the others felt the same way. It took us to some island where we stuck our hands into a box, and then we ended up on a spaceship.
[ hell's weird, man. ]
And from there a strange voice made us participate in a series of very rigged games. [ he points at his bandaged eye. ] This was the cost of a hint for one of them.
[HELL'S SO WEIRD... His nose wrinkles as Ryo explains, partially in "what the heckie" confusion and partially in "this sounds, once again, stupid as hell".
Eying Ryo's...............eye bandage.]
I'm taking it that you didn't know the cost beforehand.
[Please don't tell him yall willingly gave up a Ryo eye for a hint.]
[ he hates it here. it was genuinely funny how immediate he went from "yea sure w/e go for the hint" to "if you try asking for another hint i will kill you" ]
But we had to go through a few different puzzle scenarios, as a 'team building exercise', and then at the end they just let us leave.
Just like that? [WELL. Like. Sans some body parts, apparently... He's frowning. Binch what the fck.]
It sounds pointless. Do you think it was just another way to keep you miserable? Though these personal demons haven't resorted to physical violence yet...
I think so. There were elements to it that were clearly designed to upset us. At one point there were two Lin Ginghengs, and we had to figure out which was the real one and shoot the fake.
I assume that at the very least it's because we were paired with people we already knew very well. I'm not sure if that would have gone as well if it were people who just met each other over a week ago.
Why it was us in particular instead of, I don't know, Gideon and Harrowhark, I have no idea.
Maybe. There's no reason to think that it wouldn't, I think. I'm not sure how one would prepare for it though. Our phones wouldn't turn on so we couldn't reach out to anyone.
Just knowing that it's a thing that could happen should give anyone with half a braincell enough warning to mentally prepare, at least. Get together some medical supplies if they can, too, but I don't know if anyone outside of Chandra has those.
[ he sounds... a little disgruntled at that, and he sighs. ]
Not like there's much point. If we all get knocked out again, there isn't much point in staying in a group other than having an alibi for where you slept.
[Ryo's disgruntlement is also relatable and he's glad that no one sticks to him like Akira sticks to Ryo...]
Even its use for an alibi is slim at best. If people can just run all over the place when we're all unconscious, then it's not like them being "accounted for" will rule them out.

Oh, so that's how he got shot. [Blasé.] It really does sound like you were just running around in a rat trap, though. One that had a little more thought put into it than usual. I wonder why the four of you were singled out...

[Gideon and Harrow have some weird shit going on... At least all Ryo does is throw pencils at his foot-sniffing counterpart.]

But this is just another thing to have to deal with, on top of everything else about this place.

Do you think it might happen again, then?

Hopefully something useful. It would be embarrassing to die of infection in hell.

Good to know that that's something they can do, too, I guess.

[ personally ryo dislikes this more than the murder. this sucked. his depth perception is so bad right now ]

It seems quick for things to be changing, too. If we do have all of eternity to waste in this dump, why start upping the ante so soon?

And I guess we'll see tonight if we get locked in again.

[His ass running as far away from the dorms as possible BYE!!!]
I assume Akira won't let you go off on your own, either, especially with just one eye.
