They really weren't joking about the partying.

Which isn't unexpected, but I didn't expect it to be as much as it was.

[he is sipping at his water. no food right now, he is not ready.]

And it's probably going to get worse than that.

If it's supposed to be training? Probably. Just a matter of how.

Possibly force more participation? Some people didn't do much or didn't show.

I noticed. You might be right, if they end up taking any cues from that-- lock us somewhere until we drink, maybe.

Or drink a certain amount, since it would be easy to get away with just a sip or two.

...just make sure you get plenty of rest. You'll burn energy too quickly otherwise.

What happened to all of you?

We were somehow brought to a spaceship, and had to solve a series of very rigged puzzles. Some were aimed to be personal slights against us. My injury was because we asked for a hint for one, and this was what was taken in exchange.

[ he sounds a little mad at that part ]

Did you even know that would be the case-? If it was rigged, I'd guess not, but- ugh. Hell.

We knew it would be some punishment, just not...

[ this. ryo became very anti-hint after that. ]

But it's something to be ready for in case it happens again. We weren't able to use our phones there.

...you're probably right. If it's happened once, we might have to stay on guard for the same thing happening to more of us.

Did you have any warning at all? I heard their phones were playing music, before one of the weird incidents last week, but then ours were silent this week-- might not be able to count on it, but it'd still be something.

None at all. It was just...

I just suddenly wanted to go on a ferry. So I did, and I assume the other three had that same feeling at the same time. If you aren't even aware that something is wrong while it's happening, it'll be hard to fight against.

More or less impossible, especially if you feel like you want to do it. At that point it'd be up to someone else to stop you.

Mm. But if someone sees you walking towards the dock, they probably wouldn't think too hard on it. Everyone goes there constantly to visit the other island.

And even if you asked someone to keep an eye on you-- there were four of you gone. Both could easily end up there.

At least it's helpful to know that this is something that can happen. It does make things seem more like hell.
