ryo is at the food court of the mall, sitting at a sticky table with just water. he's frowning.

They really weren't joking about the partying.

Which isn't unexpected, but I didn't expect it to be as much as it was.

And it's probably going to get worse than that.

week 2, monday

[ it's a good time to explore the aquarium.

ryo is at one of those mini pools where you can put your hand in and poke at the creatures. he is not actually doing that, but he is staring at the water intently enough that it's obvious he is thinking about it. hmmm. ]

[he says, after a minute of watching ryo think about it.]

Should be fine, I recognize some of these as ones that are safe to touch.

[ he pokes one. it's just a crab, so it immediately goes into its shell. ]

I'm confused by how peaceful this is.

It's been like that nearly everywhere, so far. Overall improvement on what we have available. Then again, I'm not sure if our expectations are just... skewed after the first week or so.

... I suppose no matter what, it's going to be better than the jail.

I wouldn't last week was an improvement with the fair.
