[ so much of ryo's... everything revolves around akira, to the point that they went out of their way to make the most convoluted plan in the world to make sure he would survive the end of the world.
but akira is someone who cares about so many people, and who wants to live a normal life. and objectively speaking those are good things, and he deserves to have them. but ryo is not objective. ]
before coming to hell, ryo's life revolved around their fight against the demons which slowly turned to turning against the humans instead. their choices have been less about being happy and more just for what they thought was best for the world. despite how much ryo can enjoy violence, they don't resort to it necessarily because they think it's fun or because it makes them happy. they just see it as something that needs to be done.
how do you live for yourself? or find your own happiness? it's a concept that seems so foreign. ]
Akira, nothing is going to make me happy. And I'm fine with that. That's not really a bad thing.
He glances at them, long enough to have his picture taken, but then quickly looks away shyly afterward. He's embarrassed Ryo wants a picture of him as Devilman even though this is clearly something Ryo has always wanted.]
[Hmm. He watches Ryo and the phone for a moment. It never quite dawned on him until recently that Ryo liked them. He never really... caught much of the times when Ryo was obsessively viewing them, of course.
He doesn't know Ryo took them off his parent's phone. He doesn't know Ryo was looking at them while waiting on him, while he was having the worst time of his life. It's fine.
Still holding Ryo's hand, he dives straight down at one of the parks, but pulls up right at the treeline. (me: are there trees in hell) He pulls Ryo over the very tips of them with him, low enough they brush their fronts. Tickle.]
[ tickle... but it's fine. it's not like ryo really enjoys photography in general, it's just a very specific attachment to the subject matter. top person who needs therapy and will never get it.
[Back up into the sky! His grip on Ryo's hand tightens, but not painfully. Just holding on. Once they're high above again, he stops in place with Ryo beside him.]

[He's used his phone here more than ever, but he still isn't a huge phone guy. But still. He'll keep the pictures.]
[His fingers squeeze Ryo's hand, and he turns to fly them off. No more riding ferries, they are flying over everything now because I say. It's cooler that way. He pulls Ryo in the direction of the giant park.
They will not be so weirdly out of place in the giant park also which is funny.]
He plummets them both down at the flower, fast at first, but then he flips his legs forward once they are close so he can stick his lil clawed feet out and land in the center carefully.
It sways with his weight, and he uses his hand to guide Ryo down too.]
ryo will look around, like they are trying to figure out an angle, before then just scooting in closer to akira so that they can take another selfie. they wait for him to be ready to snap the picture, and will examine it after. ]
